This study was conducted in Milkipur block of Faizabad district by conducting personal interview with 120 beneficiaries. The beneficiaries were selected through proportionate random sampling technique according to schedule caste, other backward caste and general caste from selected five villages ’viz., Mungeeshpur, Blarmau, Mawaikala, Sidhauna and Gokula. The data revealed that the highest number of beneficiaries (60.00%) having middle age group i.e. 30 to 54 years, illiterate (57.50%), belonged to scheduled caste (54.17%), belonging to nuclear families system (70%), having 4 to 8 members in their families (74.17%) and resided in kuchcha houses (41.67%). Of the total, 64.17 per cent beneficiaries were males and rests were females. The maximum beneficiaries (78.30%) were having marginal land holding, reported agricultural based labour as their main occupation (44.17%) and agriculture as subsidiary occupation (45.00%) and having family annual income of Rs. 30, 001 to 45, 000 (38.33%). The APL families were found 94.17 per cent as against BPL (5.83%), most of the beneficiaries (39.16%) were having mobile as a major communication media in information communication technology era. The rojgar sevak under formal, neighbors under informal and mobile under mass media sources of information were found important. The economic motivation, achievement motivation and value orientations were observed of medium levels.
