Factors affecting an enjoyable internet experience & barriers affecting effective internet use by the students of Banaras Hindu University

Today's age is the age of internet cage. And this particular term internet cage is ascertained by the fact that today man is constipated by the overdose of internet. But despite this fact the importance of internet lies in its very canonical position of being the part and parcel of a man's life in general and a student's life in particular. According to Oxford dictionary "Internet is an international computer network connecting other networks and computers from companies, universities, NGOs etc." Generally, in modern society the vital role of computer to people, especially to college students cannot be denied. It helps students keeping safely important documents as well as maintaining the relationship with others. The present study conducted on the students of Banaras Hindu University to find out the factors affecting an enjoyable internet experience and the barriers affecting effective internet use by the students reveals that time taken to connect to the website is the most important factor affecting an enjoyable internet experience and slow internet speed was one of the major barriers in using internet.
