Abstract

Kisan Call center is one of the best sources to have two way communications with the farmers and scientist all around the India with a toll free number providing services throughout the year. The extent of utilization of these services depends on the farmer's attitude towards Kisan Call Centers. To measure the attitude of the farmers a standardized scale is very essential. Hence it was felt necessary to construct a comprehensive, valid and reliable scale and an attempt was made to develop a scale for studying the attitude of the farmers towards the Kisan Call Centers. Method of equal appearing intervals, developed by Thurstone and Chave (1929) was used. Twenty two statements were selected from 44 statements for which scale (S) and Q values were worked out. The scale values of the statements on the psychological continuum were relatively equally spaced.
