Abstract

Present study was conducted to know the impact of communication interventions on adoption of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) module by chickpea growers of district Harda Madhya Pradesh during 2011. The respondents were interviewed before and after training programmes by KVK and combination of five communication methods were used to know the impact of these interventions. The study showed that on the basis of adoption score, the combination of Literature + Training + Demonstration (80 per cent) was most effective KVK communication intervention followed by Training + Demonstration (63.33 per cent), Demonstration (56.67 per cent), Training (40 per cent) and Literature (13.33 per cent) in chickpea crop.
