Communication behaviour of extension workers

For this study data were collected from all the 50 extension workers who are participating in PGDEM course programme at State Agriculture Management Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), Raipur (C.G.). 62 per cent of the extension workers obtained information from T.V. programme related to agriculture for better role performance, followed by magazines, news papers, and departmental office etc. are the major sources of information. Majority (66%) of the respondents had not received the preservice training; while only 34 per cent of the respondents were received in-service training. Great majority of the respondents (44%) required much training in use of chemical fertilisers.
