Abstract

Using method of content analysis, this study reviewed 1656 articles published in farm magazine named ANNADATA from 2007 to 2011 to identify the extent of content covered by various subject matter areas and also trend analysis. The study also reveals the findings on the direction of content and information levels of the Crop Protection measures in Mango. Majority of the articles published in Annadata are Horticulture (16.8 per cent) followed by Crop protection (15.8 per cent) and Crop production (14.3 per cent). The Information Percentage Index of crop protection measures in mango (IPM, IDM, IWM) was found to be (52.5 per cent) and the Direction of Content of message was found to be positive (+ve) i.e. motivating and evaluating.
