Communication behavior of women gram pradhans

The Women Gram Pradhans obtained information from television programmmes related to developmental programmes under Panchayati Raj System for better role performance, followed by magazines, newspapers, circulars of the Government, poster exhibition & demonstration (P/E/D) and radio. Television 62.3% was the most preferred source of information of Women Gram Pradhans while circular letters of Government (50.9%) were preferred by respondents. Newspaper preference was 18.9% by the same respondents. It can be concluded that most of the sources of mass media were used by Women Gram Pradhans however their preference for various sources differed due to availability and convenience.
