Abstract

Friends and relatives have emerged as the most preferred localite source of information which is followed by fish seed dealers and neighbourers. Meeting/discussions are the most frequently used cosmopolite source of information. Farmers use radio and newspaper as mass media source in decreasing order of preference. Mobile phone was found to be most frequently used ICT tool. Among the sociopersonal factors education, farming experience and income had positive and significant relation with utilization of information sources.
