Abstract

The findings highlighted that the lack of official transport facilities for field visit, arbitrary target fixation for artificial insemination by the department, non consideration of ideas and suggestions of the Veterinary Surgeons by Animal Husbandry Department, poor research-extension linkage in the department, wrong advice to the farmers by quacks were the major constraints faced by veterinary surgeons in performing their duties.
