Televiewing behavior of bangaladesh rural women

Abstract

The majority (65%) of the women had medium adoption while 20% had low adoption and 15% had high adoption of selected agricultural technologies by watching different agriculture related programs on TV. Correlation analysis showed that, among the selected characteristics of the rural women education, farm size and duration of watching TV had significant positive relationships with their adoption of selected technologies. On the other hand, age, family size, farming experience, agricultural knowledge, and innovativeness of the women did not exhibit any significant relationship with their adoption of selected technologies by using TV.
