Abstract

The study revealed that the majority of the respondents (97.40%) received the information from Demonstrator/Operative/Field Men followed by Friends/Neighbours/Relatives and Field officer/Sericulture inspector (Junior/Senior). Results further revealed that Demonstrator/Operative/Field Men were the most credible sources to respondents with credibility index of 94.55. Regarding overall contact with sericulture personnel, the findings indicated that majority of the respondents (96.67%) had low level of contacts with sericulture personnel and majority of the respondents (60.37%) had low level of extension participation.
