The findings revealed that public investment in agriculture has been showing an increasing trend not only in absolute term but also in relative proportion. However, the per farm family investment is far from satisfactory. The status of human resource gives a gloomy picture as revealed by huge vacancy in different directorates and cadres. This state of affair is expected to have its impact on the agricultural growth and development in the state which calls for a concerted effort by the policy makers.
