Abstract

The results revealed that more than half of the respondents (57 per cent) secured scores that indicated healthy self esteem. The noteworthy point is that, the scores of the rest (nearly 43 per cent, who were all females), indicated that social media usage, particularly that of Facebook, negatively impacted their self esteem.
