Abstract

The study was undertaken to evaluate the usage of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) weather forecast information among farmers ’discussion group conveners of Coimbatore district in Tamilnadu. The study revealed that the monthly meeting of Farmer Discussion Groups (FDGs) conveners is the main source of TNAU weather forecast information and none of the respondents have used TNAU website to access the weather forecast information and cent per cent of the respondents reported that weather forecast information access helps them in taking decision in land preparation to post harvest.
