The study revealed that neighbors, friends and relatives, SAAO, television and mobile phone were the top five effective information media in receiving information about floating farming in haor area. Among the socio-economic characteristics of the respondents age and education had insignificant negative relationship with their use of information media whereas, family size, family cooperation, farm size, organizational participation and annual income had positive significant relationship with their use of information media.
