E-Shodh Sindhu: Digital information services for Indian higher education system

INFLIBNET is supporting all academic libraries of India for automation, networking and online information resources for lifelong learning and up-skilling. Inflibnet centre was started its journey for library automation with database creation in 1990s. Later on they developed integrated Library Management Software i.e. SOUL for Library Automation. For University Libraries they have started UGC-INFONET Program and in the same manner for colleges they have created NLIST (National Library and Information Infrastructure for Scholarly Content) program. Now these all merged in e-Shodh Sundhu. In the present paper we discussed all major activities of INFLIBNET and its impact on higher education system in India.
