Political participation and democratic awareness among the SCs has increased to a great extent. It was found that a majority of respondents have accepted that highly educated people in their caste are more hostile towards the traditional unequal caste practices as compared to the general mass of their community. The facts reveal that the majority of young and middle age persons with higher education are hostile towards traditional unequal caste practices. It was also found that a proportion of workers working in unorganized construction sector, accepted multiple types of exploitation ranging from caste based discrimination and economic exploitation as well as sexual exploitation.
