Abstract

It is the audience response in the desired direction which decides the success or failure of any communication programme. In the present study the amount of information input of individual respondents was measured with the help qf information input index. It was found that adopted villages (where ICDS programme was running) had more consciousness regarding the health communication and the residents of such villages have changed their attitude towards the health workers to a considerable extent. It was clear from correlation studied that the social factors like education, land holding etc. had great effect on the audience response towards health messages.
