Coverage of RCH (Reproductive and chid health) components through inter-personal communication

It is shocking that the various village level functionaries under new Panchayati Raj system and allied areas such as Z.S.S. (Sila Saksharta Samiti) were found to be completely inactive. They showed coverage of very few components. One hand Gram pradhans were found to be restricted to traditional components of contraception and maternal care; the members of Z.S.S. covered the first and primary step of maternal care i.e. the registration of pregnant women on the other hand. The low percentages of coverage remained major draw back.
