Green gram pulse research for the period 1976 - 2019, obtained through scientometric analysis from the CAB Direct Online database. The analysis found that during the period from 1976 - 2019, 2074 papers were published, and the largest number of papers in 2015 was 227 papers. A plant archive is the most competitive ranking journal, with 147 papers publishing their research papers in the most prominent 10 journals (7.08%). India is the top country in coconut research with almost 767 papers (36.98%) contributing to global green gram pulse research, such as (Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Karnataka, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Nepal, Assam, Delhi, Nagaland, Kerala, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar Islands) contributing Indian publications output followed by Pakistan (4.58%) and Bangladesh (4.29%).
