Tuberculosis is very common in India and any symptom which indicates its presence must be thoroughly investigated. We report a case of a 24 year old boy who had complaint of backache and was diagnosed as a having ankylosing spondylitis. As his symptoms persisted, he was further investigated and diagnosed as having a Pott's spine with sputum positive for pulmonary tuberculosis.
