This research article analyses the question of liberty of dalit and tribal women in the background of the Bharatiya Mahila Andolan (Indian women struggle) and discussion on women's issues from the sociological and ideological point of view.
Generally, issues of dalit and tribal women are not discussed separately amidst the discussion in women liberation movement. The reason behind is their understanding that dalit women are economically independent and are rather not tied with the brahaminical value of purity, so they are free from patriarchic exploitation. They have no issue other than the general exploitation and oppression of dalits. But this generalization is wrong.
Dalit Mukti Andolan, though it is struggling for the rights of all dalit collectively, It has not talked about the rights of women. So here should also be a holistic complete and comprehensive thinking on the women rights.
Methodology-This research paper is based on secondary data. Data and Quotes from different important and standard literature, journals, research papers, and news papers are used for sociological analysis. On the basis of it, the effort is being made to analyse scientifically the events, circumstances, causes and results related to women liberation movement and debates.
