Abstract

The age between 60–80 years is known as old age. A stage marked by a conflict between integrity vs. despair, a sense of accomplishment or failure, characterized by physical loss of interest as well as mental disintegration. Most traumatic realization of aging is that we are growing old and the number of remaining years is limited.

The present paper deals with the aspects of old age with regard to social and psychological issues. There are benefits of believing in oneself psychologically as well as to adjust socially. These abilities provide strength to Control Situations at large. This is an optimistic attempt to prove that preparedness and a positive attitude could make the passing years enjoyable.
