Abstract

Modern time is the era of renaissance. The progressive poetry of Hindi helps to develop the traits of renaissance. Progressive poetry mainly focuses on the progressive ideas of middle-class. The renaissance has originated basically in Bengal. Education of English language, flow of western ideologies, many socialr eforms institutions played ar elevant role in renaissance. Progressive poetry is basically the poetry of economic consciousness. According to progressive poets the society is divided into two classes- one classis of capitalists who are exploiters, another class is of proletariats who tolerate the exploitation. Progressive poetry has been trying to highlight the problems of middle class.
