Through this project the researcher's aims to give the reader an overview of the establishment, need, functions, jurisdiction, achievements and activities of the National Commission for Women. The researcher will then analyze the achievement and failures of the commission in over the past fourteen years and attempt to suggest steps to rectify any shortfalls or problems with the working of the commission. The researcher, in a large part of the project will essentially present facts about the commission and based on these facts the abovementioned analysis will be carried out.
