Abstract

During the “Reetikaleen period” morality had an important place within the preview of the rural culture. The main components of morality of that period were benevolence, tolerance, sympathy and humanity. Inspite of facing the problems and the travails of life they still eypehield their moral norms was land social as well as moral principals. Personal development and moral standard were reflected even in the ordinary walks of life. Upholding of moral codes is an important ingredient in human life and will always offer guidance and help the individual to make concern choice between right and wrong and form the basis of personal development.
