Impact of Modernization On Urban Families

The history of Indian society and culture is very old but there is continuity also in the society. Indian history has many ups and downs, changes etc. If we compare present India to the situation that prevails hundred years back, we shall be surprised to see that there is change in each and every aspect of life. In modern India because of Industrialization, sanskritisation, the country has not only changed but also developed in every field. Modernization is that process which affect every class of the society even the family the small unit of society has been affected by it. Now there is new & high living standard and branded clothes are taking place, fast food and restaurant is increasing day by day. In every family youth become more independent they are future oriented, fashionable, educated and practical. Based on an empirical study of Lucknow District. In this paper the attempt is made to see that how far modernization has a great impact on the Indian society especially in urban family.
