The Dilemma and Dialectics of the Empowerment of Women: A Sociological Deliberation

This paper articulates the different institutional provisions for the empowerment of women from the structural paradigm, but at the same time, it brings out the protagonists of the action paradigm who have been known for their individual power and status globally and, in response, articulate the system they belong to. This again leads to what is known as structuration, the meeting point of structure and action, and sociological imagination, the meeting point of individual and history. The empowerment of women can be linked to a number of variables, and there can be several studies on the same, but at the same time, it requires some sort of comprehensive understanding of the interfaces of undercurrents reflecting the totality of the social reality. The authors of this paper make efforts to bring out the dilemma and dialectics of the empowerment of women within the theoretical frameworks mentioned hereinabove.
