Since the publication of the magnificent monograph titled, "The Todas" in 1906, by a British Anthropologist W.H.R. Rivers it was a privilege to the author to conduct a field work among the Todas, exactly after the completion of hundred years or a century in the year 2016. The Todas are one of the particularly vulnerable tribal groups (PVTGs) of India residing in the heart of the Nilgiris in the state of Tamilnadu. They are pastoral by their economic pursuits. Earlier they practiced polyandry but now under the impact of factors of social change like education and globalization they are accepting monogamy as their marriage institution. The present study was conducted in the year 2016 in four different Toda munds and resorts to anthropological methods of field work and empirical research. The study endeavours to enumerate the changes arising in Toda culture due to the culture contact with the outer world.
