In recent years due to progress in health science and improvement in standard of living, number of old-aged people in the world including India has increased. In traditional India old-aged people occupied high respect and position in family and society. At present as a result of fast changing socioeconomic situations and increasing tendency for materialism has created atmosphere of equanimity towards them and has left them unassisted for basic necessities to live. In this paper, relation between old-aged and previous generation has been discussed and issues and challenges with present generation has been analyzed.
