Acharya Narendra Dev is the first Indian Socialist thinker to describe in detail the concept of "Democratic Socialism". His book ‘Nationalism and Socialism’ contains all his important political thoughts. He favoured wider concept of Nationalism to fight the issue of human right violations by Imperialist forces. In this backdrop present paper is an attempt to analyse important political thoughts of Acharya Narendra Dev like his views on Scientific- Democratic- Socialism, its importance in Indian freedom movement, education and culture, role of opposition parties in Democracy and the concept of genuine socialism against fake concept of socialism like that of Hitler etc.
