This paper aims to discuss review of empirical researches conducted in Islamic Leadership to understand impact of Islamic values and principles on Islamic entrepreneur/business leaders. Much emphasis has been given in studying western leadership approach in organization while not much is known about Islamic leadership approach. The finding indicated Islam to be a comprehensive, integrated and holistic religion that governed and interweaved all the aspects of human life and in organizational context it indicated that Islamic values and belief system, especially ‘Taqwa’ towards Allah have impact on business success but there is the dearth of empirical evidences on Islamic leadership in organizational context and there is need to collect more empirical evidences to understand the leadership approach from Islamic perspective.
