Abstract

The present investigation was carried out to study the effect of uterine lavage in repeat breeder dairy cows on fertility and on hematological parameters as: haemoglobin (Hb), Packed cell volume (PCV), Total Leucocyte Count (TLC), Total Leucocyte Count (TEC), Lymphocytes, Neutrophils, Eosinophil, Monocyte, Total serum protein and Glucose values. Animals were submitted to three treatments: (1) antibiotics, (2) uterine lavage and (3) uterine lavage with antibiotic. Haematological values was not significant among groups but was significant within groups except for the values of PCV. While the difference in serum total protein and glucose values was significant in both among all the groups and within the groups. Finally, it could be concluded that the conception rate was the highest in uterine lavage with antibiotics group.
