Abstract

Sixty healthy postpartum crossbred cows were synchronized with double PG, PGP, CIDR+PG , Ovsynch and Ovsynch+CIDR protocols and the estrus response, time taken for onset of estrus and duration of estrus were 50.00, 25.00, 91.67, 50.00, 66.67%; 61.83±1.45 h, 63.83±2.48 h, 63.25±1.95 h, 48.50±1.10 h, 36.33±1.46 h; 22.83±0.52, 22.83±0.76, 25.50±0.70, 24.17±0.75, 23.33±1.18, respectively with the overall conception rate of 33.33, 25.00, 41.67, 50.00 and 58.33%, respectively. Though synchronization of estrus and conception rates were better with ovsynch+CIDR exhibition of estrus was higher with CIDR+PG (66.67% intense and 33.33% intermediate estrus).
