Abstract

The objective of this work was to study the physical characteristics of the carcass of Nellore steers raised in pasture of Brachiaria brizantha Marandu and finished with differents concentrate levels: T00 = mineral salt, T03 = 0.3%, T06 = 0.6%, and T09 = 0.9% of concentrate levels for 84 days. Effects of treatments weight and yield of the empty body, fat thickness, fat quantity and the area of the Longissimus muscle were significant.
