Manuscript Categories
Manuscripts may be submitted as rapid communication, full paper, note or review. The category in which the paper is to be published should be indicated by the author(s) in the covering letter accompanying the manuscript. All manuscripts will be subjected to a review process. Manuscripts are accepted for publication on the understanding that they have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
Rapid / Short Communications: Rapid communications are intended for the fast publication of exceptionally significant findings, including unique structure, biological activity, advances in isolation, separation technology or spectroscopy and development of new and / or novel variety,
Full Papers: Full research papers are comprehensive, critical accounts of work done in the area covered as given on above topics.
Notes: Notes are abbreviated papers presented in the general style as the full papers.
Reviews Articles: The review articles may be considered for publication after prior submission of a synopsis or outline.
Preparation and Submission of Manuscript
Title: Should be concise and specific (Bold, 14-point size).
Author’s Name / Other Author’s Name(s) and Their Affiliation(s): The title should be followed by the author/s names and the institution name and address (Bold, 12 point size). Place an asterisk after the name of the author to whom correspondence regarding the manuscript should be directed and include telephone and fax number and e-mail address. Author affiliations must be noted using the following symbols in order (which should be used as superscripts).
Footnotes: Footnotes should be kept to a minimum, specifically used for change of address of an author indicated by the superscripts.
Abstract: In the abstract, the results are briefly mentioned elucidating the problem, experimental approach, major findings and conclusions made thereafter (200 words).
Introduction: The manuscript should include the introduction stating the purpose (objectives) of the investigation. A summary of the pertinent literature should be included with latest references, in brief, pointing out gaps (in knowledge) that led to initiate this work.
Keywords: Major titles or words mentioned in the manuscript text (5 to 10 words).
Experimental: Sub-sections on the experimental procedures should begin with a sub-section entitled “General Experimental Procedure”. This sub-section must contain specific details about instruments used, sources of specialized chemicals, and related compounds.
Results and Discussion: The results should be presented clearly and concisely. The discussion should interpret the results and relate them to existing knowledge in the field clearly and briefly. Tables and figures should be designed to maximize the presentation and comprehension of the experimental data.
Acknowledgment: The section should include [Initial(s) and last Name] for technical assistance, financial support and other appropriate recognition.
References: References to the literature and all notes, irrespective of their nature, should be numbered in order of appearance in the manuscript and cited in the text with superscript numbers. References at the end of manuscript should be listed in serial number to match their order of appearance in the text. Name of the Journal / Book should be italics and Volume number in bold. References in manuscript should follow the format as below:
Journal abbreviations should be those used by Chemical Abstracts, [Chemical Abstracts Service Source Index 1907-2004]. Abbreviations should be explained at first appearance in the text.
