Journal of advances in medicine is a peer-reviewed, journal which focuses on all aspects of recent advances in medicine especially focusing on the use of new technologies in diagnosis and treatment . Journal of advances in medicine publishes research papers, reviews, case reports, technical notes and short communication reporting significant results obtained using new techniques. Encouraged topic areas include laboratory medicine, endocrinology, biochemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, genetics, reproductive cycles, functional morphology, phylogeny, behavioral and regulatory mechanisms, including genetic, endocrine and molecular studies.
Aim and Scope
This journal will deliver original investigations in the broad fields of laboratory and clinical medicine to internists, pathologists and pediatricians in academic settings. Interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary in scope, it keeps readers up-to-date on significant biomedical research from all subspecialties of internal medicine. Aiming to improve the exchange between basic and clinical science, it focuses on research in the area generally termed ?translational medicine?. It encourages submission of studies describing preclinical research with potential for application to human disease, and studies describing research obtained from preliminary human experimentation with potential to refine the understanding of biological principles underpinning human disease.

Publication Ethics
Publication ethics and malpractice statement of Journal of Advances in Medicine was devised purely following the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors and the Code of Conduct for Journal Publishers of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Some of the important factors regarding publishing ethics and malpractice handling is described here, however, authors and editors are advised to go through the complete COPE documentation for more details.
I. DUTIES OF EDITORS
Editorial Independence
Articles submitted to the journals will be evaluated based on its qualifying factors of originality of the word, validity, applications, etc. and it should come under the purview of the scope of the journal. No other than the academic and intellectual credit of the article or author will be considered for selecting the article for publication. No gender, ethnicity, country of origin, religion, political ideology, affiliation, etc. would be considering factors for selection. Editor-in-chief is with full freedom over the content of the journal he/she is free to decide when to publish.
Confidentiality
Editor-in-chief or the members of editorial board of the journal will be bound to respect the Confidentiality of the content submitted. No details of article will be shared anyone except for reviewing and publishing purpose.
Disclosure and conflicts of interest
Editor-in-chief, members of editorial board and reviewers will not use the content submitted to the journal for publication for his/her academic or research benefit unless written consent is received from the concerned author(s). Journal editors will take help of the other reviewers or outside editorial services if the content of the article conflicts with their idealism.
Decision to publish
Every article submitted in the journal will undergo at least two blind peer review process and the review comments intended for authors will be shared accordingly. The editor-in-chief has full authority to decide the content for publication and he will exercise his power looking at the validity and relevancy of the study for wider societal application.
Handling of ethical issues
Editor-in-chief and members of editorial board will provide full cooperation in all cases related to ethics in publishing. Any sort of unethical publishing will be rigidly monitored. If any case is reported even long after the publication of the content and the unethical thread is established, the editor will publish a note of correction, retraction, expression of concern, etc. in the journal.
II. DUTIES OF REVIEWERS
Editorial decision making factor
Peer reviewers assist editors to select and finalize the articles for publication. In a way they are helping the decision making process of editorial board of journals. Peer reviewers are expected to act as a decision making drivers while they review the articles.
Honest and swiftness
Reviewers who feel that they won't be able to review the content being out of knowledge area or some other reason should intimate to the editor immediately. Editor will find suitable alternate reviewer for the content submitted.
Objectivity and sharp observation
Reviewers are expected to be highly integrated with objectivity while reviewing. The observation they make from the articles should be substantiated with evidences so that the original author(s) can improve the article accordingly.
Similarity and source knowledge
It is the duty of the reviewer to inform the editor about the known source from where the manuscript has extracted some portions. Reviewers are expected to check the source rigorously and suggest to include any relevant study in the article.
Disclosure and conflicts of interest
The reviewer will not use the content of the article submitted for peer review for his own academic or any other benefit. Ideas got from the reviewed article will not be shared or used for personal benefit until the article is published. If the content of the article is conflicting with the idealism of the reviewer he/she should report to the editor for change of reviewer.
III. DUTIES OF AUTHORS
Standard of writing
Authors should present the research or work conducted in a systematic manner so as to understand by the audience very easily. The article should contain adequate references and sufficient reviews with proper citation as per the journal recommended referencing style. False, incomplete and unethical expression should be avoided.
Accessibility to data
Author(s) should provide access to raw or processed data on which the result of the study is built and expressed in the article Author (s) is bound to provide the data to any competent authority for proving his/her notion of findings. Author(s) may take help of subject based data repositories or data centers for this purpose.
Originality and plagiarism
Author should make sure that the content submitted for publication is the original work without extracting from any other published works. If any work is referred then the proper citation should be given to that work. Plagiarism in any manner is totally unethical and unacceptable.
Concurrent submission/publication
Author should refrain from submitting the same article to different journals at the same time or get the same article published in two or more different journals. The content which was already published in one journal should not be published in another unless total changes in the result or data occurred over a period of time or because of the effect of various other influencing factors.
Authorship
Only the person who makes the major contribution in the article should act as the principle author and the people who have contributed intellectual input not amounting to the principal author can also be the authors of article. It is the duty of the corresponding author to ensure all coauthors are correct and no inappropriate coauthors are listed in the author section of the article before final publication.
Disclosure and conflicts of interest
It is expected from the author to submit a disclosure at the time of submitting the article that the interpretation or result of the study may conflict with the interest of people, believe, tradition, etc., if any. Author must disclose information about grant or financial aid received from any funding agencies or any other source.
Peer review process
Authors are expected to cooperate with the peer review process and modify the article according to the suggestions made by the reviewer (s). Author will have full rights to refute any suggestion made by the reviewer and counter with proper evidence.
IV. DUTIES OF PUBLISHER
Dealing with unethical publishing
In case of any unethical publishing happened, publisher will take necessary measure to rectify after appraising the situation with the help of editors or any other external agencies. The publisher will publish erratum portion, clarification, retraction, etc. appropriately in the journal.

Conflict-Of-Interest
A conflict-of-interest statement is required for all article and study types. In the interests of transparency and helping reviewers to assess any potential bias in a study's design, interpretation of it results or presentation of its scientific/medical content, the New Delhi Publishing Group (New Delhi Publisher) requires all authors of each paper to declare any conflicting interests (including but not limited to commercial, personal, political, intellectual, or religious interests) in the title page that are related to the work submitted for consideration of publication. In addition, reviewers are required to indicate any potential conflicting interests they might have related to any particular paper they are asked to review, and a copy of signed statement should be provided to the New Delhi Publisher in PDF format.

Authors are requested to facilitate the review process by providing the names and e-mail addresses of at least three suitable reviewers. However, the editor is not bound by any such nomination. At the same time. Failure to follow this request may delay the handling of your paper, since the editorial office may specifically ask you to nominate potential reviewers for papers covering unfamiliar areas.
Manuscript Preparation
Research papers
Original papers should present unpublished new scientific findings and should not exceed 10 printed pages except where it is needed otherwise. These papers present original research and address a clearly stated specific hypothesis or question. They should provide novel approaches and new insights into the problem addressed and should be arranged under the following headings: Title of paper, author(s) and their affiliation, abstract, brief introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, acknowledgements, references, figures, tables.
Short communications
These are for a concise, but independent report representing a significant contribution in the field. Short reports of new results of special interest or article having new future dimension are welcomed within 4-5 printed pages only and could include two figures or tables. It should have at least 8 references. Short communications will also send for peer review.
Reviews Articles
Reviews should be critically analyzed with continuous flow of literatures in terms of events NOT years and should not exceed 15 printed pages However; editor may take decision in case of exceeding pages provided the review is proved worthy and readers to be more benefited in wider views. These can be an attempt by one or more authors to sum up the current state of the research on a particular topic. Ideally, the author collects the information relevant to the topic, and then sorts it all out into a coherent view of the “state of the art” as it now stands. Review Articles focus on : • the main research contributors in the field : recent major advances and discoveries made ; significant gaps in the research ; current debates and views and the future strategies or directions .Only review articles from experts in the field will be considered for publication. The potential authors are advised to contact the editorial office for this purpose.
General Instruction:
All manuscript should include Title, authors/authors name (unaccompanied by degree/degrees) and present address (marking corresponding author with along with fax number and email address), Abstract (concisely stating the scope of the work and give the principal findings in single spaced preferably with in 150 words), keywords (maximum 6 words), Introduction, Materials and methods, Results and discussion, conclusion and references should be the components of a research paper.
The review paper should have headings and sub-headings. The review should be illustrated with data in tabular form, bullets form etc. If needed, line drawing could be included. As far possible, the figures should be original and while taking figures from other sources it should be done after getting permission from the copy right holders. Such letters should be attached with the paper. Same is applicable to photographs.
Before submission of the new manuscript authors should consider the following general rules for preparation of the manuscript. Please read these instructions carefully and follow the guidelines strictly.
Fonts: Important – Use Times or Times New Roman 12 point size only (other sizes as specified), and Symbol font for mathematical symbols (in the text and in the figures).
Justification should be set to full (or left only, if preferred).
Do not underline: Use italics, bold or bold italics instead.
Line spacing should be set at 2 (Double).
Leave a line space between paragraphs and sections.
Leave a line space between section titles and text.
Leave only one space after a full stop.
Manuscripts must be typed on A4 (210 × 297 mm) paper, double-spaced throughout and with ample margins of at least 3.5 cm. All pages must be numbered consecutively. Starting with the title page as p.1, the text, which begins with p.2? and so on
The first page of the full manuscript must begin with the title of the paper centered on the page in 14 point Bold Title Case (title case means first letter of each main word capitalized), the names of the authors (Initials – followed by a period each – Family Name) with the main author’s name mentioned first, the names and locations of the authors’ affiliations (Title Case), and the e-mail address of the main author. The title page must provide the title in English, a short title of not more than 45 characters (including spaces) to be used as running head, up to five topical key words in English for subject indexing, the full postal address of the corresponding author to whom proofs will be sent. The title should be brief and should indicate the species studied. Subtitles are not encouraged.
The abstract should not exceed 150 words, should be one paragraph and be free of references and abbreviations. It should indicate clearly the scope and main conclusions of the paper.
The introduction should give the pertinent background to the study and should explain why the research was done.
The materials and methods (or methodology) should give essential details, including experimental design and statistical analysis.
The results should present the findings of the research. They should be free from discussion. Results should be written in the past tense.
The discussion should cover, but not simply repeat the new findings and should present the author's results in broader context of other work on the subject interpreting them with a minimum of speculation.
The acknowledgements should be as brief as possible.

Manuscript Charges
If the manuscript is accepted for publication, the authors has to pay Rs. 200/- or US dollar $20 per page and for students the authors has to pay Rs. 150/- or US dollar 15 per page of the manuscript towards processing and publishing this may be intimated within one week from the date of manuscript submission. The modes of fee payment will also be intimated in the acceptance email letter.
Gallery Proofs
Galley proofs would be sent unless indicated otherwise to the corresponding author. It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to ensure that the galley proof is to be returned without delay (within 1 week) with correction (if any). The authors are responsible for the contents appeared in their published manuscripts. Authors are also responsible for obtaining written permission to use any copyrighted text and/or illustration.
The decision of the Editor-in-Chief shall be final in all matters pertaining to publication of papers.
