Ethics & Malpractice

Ethics

Publication Policy

The papers are invited for submission to discourseacademic@gmail.com or www.indianjournals.com for each issue.

Academic Discourse aspires to select research papers through highest quality peer review. There should be original work that has not been previously published or currently not under review at another journal. We take issues of copyright infringement, plagiarism or other breaches of best practice in publication very seriously. We seek to protect the rights of our authors and we always investigate claims of plagiarism or misuse of published articles. The manuscripts are immediately referred to the reviewers after primary investigation by the editor. The decisions on manuscripts are communicated to the authors within a month of submission. The deadline of submission of manuscripts is 31st March and 30th September every year. The publication dates are 30th June and 31st December of every year.

Peer Review Policy

This journal follows a double blind review process. All contributions are initially assessed by the editor for suitability for the journal. Papers deemed suitable are then sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the quality. The comments of reviewers are communicated to the authors. The modifications by authors are again referred to the concerned reviewers for final comments. The papers are published only after the approval of the referees. The Editor is responsible for the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of articles. The Editor's decision is final. The confidentiality and secrecy of both reviewers and authors are strictly observed.

Policy and Publication Ethics

Academic Discourse respects and follows the standards set by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

Publication of journal is not a profit making endeavour for us. There are no submission and processing charges.

Corrections and clarifications, if any, are published in the next issue with a humble apology from the editorial team.

The journal respects the privacy of the authors and reviewers both. We protect the copyrights. We encourage the reviewers to comment on ethical issues and possible research and publication misconduct by submissions.

We encourage the reviewers to comment on the originality of research and to be alert to redundant publications and plagiarism. We require the copyright warranty and authorization form to be filled by the authors before publishing the paper. Overall suggestions and recommendations by the external members of editorial board, reviewers and any other concerned organisation or individual to make the journal better are always welcome.
